Icy Weather Delays Trash Pickup In Romeoville

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Icy road conditions prompted Waste Management to halt residential pickup on Wednesday. The Village of Romeoville notified residents that trash and recycling pickup would be pushed back this week.

"Garbage pickup will run one day late for the remainder of the week," according to an alert sent to residents.

Trash pickup service in Joliet and Plainfield was also delayed. Waste Management said it was experiencing weather-related service delays Wednesdays in multiple states, including Wisconsin, Indiana and Ohio.

Other Illinois towns experiencing trash pickup delays include Lemont, Lockport, Wilmington and Naperville.
