Joliet Montessori Resumes Popular Toddler Program in January
JMS reopened for full-time, in-person learning in August and is expanding programming

While most area public schools continue to offer at-home or hybrid learning programs, Joliet Montessori School in Crest Hill has been safely conducting in-person learning for their primary, elementary and adolescent programs since school began on August 20, under the safety protocols detailed in the 2020-2021 JMS reopening plan.
Now, Head of School Heidi Geiger is proud to announce the return of the school’s popular Parent/Child classes in the second half of the school year, staring in January 2021.

Parent/Child classes offer wonderful early learning opportunities for toddlers 24 – 36 months old, using proven Montessori learning materials and practices to help kindle a love of learning in the youngest of students. The parent is part of the process, sharing classroom time with his or her child and building a culture of engagement that extends to the home as well as the classroom.
Parent/Child classes are 90 minutes long, held on Thursday mornings at JMS, 1600 Root Street in Crest Hill.

JMS observes all federal- and state-mandated health protocols such as masking, social distancing, physical barriers and frequent disinfecting of spaces and materials, including overnight sanitizing. Because of these regulations, the first Parent/Child class will be limited to just five students and parents. Masks are required for everyone. Curriculum information is available here, and you can register immediately here.
JMS encourages families interested in this exciting, in-person learning opportunity to contact the school at 815-741-4180.
