Learn The Science And History Of Halloween Candy In Romeoville
A class at the Recreation Center will conduct science experiments on some of the most beloved Halloween candy.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Help your kids become an expert on all things Halloween candy by attending the History and Science of Halloween Candy workshop in Romeoville. The event will help kids get in the holiday spirit while also teaching them scientific concepts.
Romeoville's Recreation Center, 900 W. Romeo Rd., will host the workshop from 11 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Oct. 20. The class will look at the science and history behind M&M's, candy corn and peeps.
Science experiments will be conducted to gain a deeper understanding of the classic treats. There will also be taste tests and other candy-themed, educational activities.

The cost to attend for Romeoville residents is $25, while non-Romeoville residents can pay $37 to attend. For more information, click here.
The Rec Center will also host a "Halloween Science: A Horrifying Haunted Lab" which will use holiday themes to showcase scientific principals. Concepts that will be demonstrated will incude: static powered witches, balloon experiments, blood and bruises, and sickening scents.
