Jacob C. “Jake” Gordon

Jacob C. “Jake” Gordon, age 37, of Gardner, IL, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019 at University of Illinois at Chicago Hospital. Jake was born April 1, 1982 in Oak Lawn, IL, the son of James C. and Belinda L. (nee Gorman) Gordon. He resided in Justice, Channahon, Joliet, and Gardner throughout his lifetime. He attended Joliet West and Minooka Community High Schools. Jake enjoyed working on cars and was an accomplished mechanic. He also loved attending concerts; some of his favorite bands included Pantera, Metallica, Ice Nine Kills, and Sublime.

Survived by his son, Jacob C. “J.C.” Gordon, Jr. of Montgomery, IL; his mother, Belinda Gordon of Gardner; his brother, James (Rachel) Gordon of Romeoville; his sister, Tabitha (Luis Texoco) Gordon of Joliet; maternal grandparents, Robert Gorman and Carol Gorman; his niece, Maya Texoco; nephews, Landon Gordon, Luis Texoco, Leland Texoco, and Remy Gordon.

Preceded in death by his father, James C. Gordon (2011) and his paternal grandparents, J.C. and Donna Gordon.

Visitation for Jacob C. Gordon will be Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds, Joliet. As it was his request, cremation rites will be accorded following services. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
