Paving Begins From Normantown Road To 135th Street: Village

Paving will begin after Memorial Day and residents are asked to anticipate heavy traffic.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — In a community alert on Friday, the Village of Romeoville said that temporary concrete paving is anticipated to start the week after Memorial Day from Grand Boulevard to Normantown Road, and work on a permanent concrete pavement from Grand Boulevard to south of 135th Street will begin immediately after.

Concrete deliveries for the pavement will require additional trucking and short term flagging operations, the village said on social media.

"Motorists should anticipate heavy traffic along with short periods of stopped traffic to allow trucks to enter and exit the work zone. Motorists are urged to use caution and be patient," the Facebook post stated.
