Pet Bird Found In Romeoville

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Tuesday morning, a Romeoville resident heard a sound and found a yellow bird, named Banana, pecking on one of the windows on her home. After posting about it in a Romeoville Facebook group, the pet bird's owner was found.

"Is anyone missing a bird?" Cathy Tomala Peters asked in the "Romeoville Residents" Facebook group.

A neighbor of Banana's owner saw the missing bird post and connected Tomala Peters with the owner to facilitate a safe return. Tomala Peters said they're still trying to catch the bird but she hopes it's reunited with its owner soon.
