Plant Sale To Benefit Isle A La Cache Museum In Romeoville
Those who drop in for the plant sale will find more than 150 species of perennials, shrubs and trees are available for purchase.

ROMEOVILLE, IL—The Forest Preserve District of Will County will host its “Bringing Nature Home” plant sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 18 at the Forest Preserve District of Will County’s Sugar Creek Administration Center, 17540 W. Laraway Rd., in Joliet. Proceeds from the seventh annual plant sale aim to benefit the Forest Preserve District of Will County and its effort to install a pollinator garden at Isle a la Cache Museum in Romeoville.
"We've probably given homes to between 15,000 and 20,000 plants," The Nature Foundation of Will County executive director Cindy Harn said in a release.
The Nature Foundation of Will County is tasked with planning and hosting the plant sale.

New to the plant sale this year will be the Grumpy Gaucho food truck, free compost on Saturday, and silent auction and raffle items, officials said.

A ticketed pre-sale fundraiser is set to take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. May 17 at the Forest Preserve District of Will County’s Sugar Creek Administration Center.
Tickets cost $25, and they can be purchased online at willcountynature.org. Also online, site users will find a plant list is available.
The May 18 plant sale is not a ticketed event.
Plant experts will be available May 17-18 for consultations for plant purchases.
