Rockin' The Ville Concerts, Movies Under The Stars Start Soon

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The first official day of summer 2019 is June 21, but the summer fun starts early in Romeoville. This year's Rockin' the Ville concerts begin June 17, and free Movies Under the Stars start June 17.

Here's this year's schedule of events at Romeoville Toyota Pavilion at Deer Crossing Park, 1050 W. Romeo Road.

Rockin' the Ville - free concerts are at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays starting June 13. Food and beverages are available for purchase, with concessions provided by Fat Ricky's. Here's the musical lineup:

• June 13: 7th Heaven (From originals to covers – they never disappoint)
• June 27: Scott Marek Band (Local celebrity (Downers Grove) plays top country music hits)
• July 11: 7/11: Too White Crew (Classic old school R & B and hip hop jams)
• July 25: Voyage (Classic arena rock from the '70s and '80s)
• Aug. 8: Soul Papas (8-piece horn band rocks '50s to '90s hits)
• Aug. 22: Maggie Speaks (Get dancing to all your favorite songs – new and old!)

Movies Under the Stars feature a movie with themed games, crafts and kids activities starting at 8 p.m., with movies starting at dusk:

• June 17: "Ralph Breaks the Internet" (rain date June 18)
• July 15: "Incredibles 2"(rain date July 16)

Route 66 Car Show: A classic car and bike show with live music and kids activities, plus food and beverages, set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 1 at the Edward Hospital Athletic & Event Center, 55 Phelps Ave. Interested in entering your car or motorcycle? Athletic & Event Center Bags League: 7 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, June 6, June 20, July 18, Aug. 15 and Aug. 29 at Edward Hospital Athletic & Event Center, 55 Phelps Ave. The cost is $30 per week with prizes given to the top four finishers. Teams must attend every event and will receive a gift. Minimum of eight teams needed. Pre-register at the Athletic Center by May 31st with code 19SBAGS.

Family Jump Fest: 4 to 8 p.m. June 18 and July 16 at the Edward Hospital Athletic & Event Center, 55 Phelps Ave., featuring a variety of inflatables, obstacle courses and slides, plus music and games. Cost is $5 per participant for ages 4 to 12. For more information, call (815) 552-3283.
