Romeoville Knights of Columbus to Host Free Throw Competition Thursday

The Knights of Columbus Bishop Kaffer Council #10944 from St. Andrew the Apostle in Romeoville are hosting their Annual Free Throw Competition at the Romeoville Recreation Center Tonight.

Sign in is promptly at  6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 21. The competition is for children ages 10 to 14 from Romeoville. Each will see who can complete the most free throws out of 10.  

“Every year the Knights do this competition, and there are more kids every year, each having more fun than the year before.“ said Deputy Grand Knight Rick Skorski.

After winners for each age group are determined, a pizza party is held in the Drdak Room for all participants and their families. Pizza and pop and water are provided.

This year, the pizza party is sponsored by the new pizza place in town, Nicky V’s on Romeo Road in Leo’s. While the participants have some pizza, recognition is given for the top three competitors in each age group. Medals are given for first place, a certificate of participation and a gift for each participant will be given.
