Romeoville Leases Athletic Center For Basketball Tournaments
"...these events bring visitors from around the region which also support our local businesses," said Romeoville Mayor John Noak.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Officials say Blue Chip Commerce, which organizes basketball tournaments and one day shootouts across the Midwest, has reached an agreement with Romeoville to lease the village's basketball courts at the Edward Hospital Athletic and Event Center for the next three years.
The village-owned facility features 76,000 square-feet of turf, courts, meeting space, party rooms and expo space, according to a news release. Throughout the year, it hosts a number of tournaments, youth sports programs, and also holds open gym for community members. Despite being leased out, officials said the village will still retain space for its other programs at the center during the tournaments.
"The Edward Hospital Athletic Center continues to be in great demand," said Romeoville Mayor John Noak. "Tournaments like this give local athletes the opportunity to showcase their talent against top tier competitors. In addition, these events bring visitors from around the region which also support our local businesses."
