Romeoville Memorial Day Service Relocated

The village will commemorate the nation's fallen veterans on Monday but has moved the event due to anticipated inclement weather.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The 2019 Village of Romeoville Memorial Day service has been relocated due to anticipated stormy weather and will now kick off at 10 a.m. Monday, May 27, at Fire Station 1, 18 Montrose Drive.

Here is the event schedule, courtesy of the Village of Romeoville:

  • Posting of the Colors: Romeoville High School Marine Corp Jr. ROTC
  • National Anthem: Romeoville High School Band
  • March Off of Colors: Romeoville High School Marine Corp Jr. ROTC
  • Opening Prayer: Pastor Christopher Hudson, Village of Romeoville chaplain
  • Amazing Grace: Mike Heywood
  • Speaker: Mark W. Bowman, Command Sgt. Major (Ret), Illinois Army National Guard
  • Presentation of Wreaths:
