Romeoville Offers Warming Centers
Last night's winter storm left some in the area without power.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Village of Romeoville is advising those in the area without power that warming centers are available from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Romeoville Recreation Center, 900 West Romeo Road, and after 9:30 p.m., at Fire Station No. 3, 698 Birch Drive. If you do need a warming center after 9:30 p.m., the village is asking residents to call the Romeoville Police Department at (815) 886-7219 prior to heading to the fire station.
"Com Ed is reporting minimal power outages in our area due to the winter storm and are working to restore power to those affected," the village said in a news release.
The expected high temperature for Monday in Romeoville is 28 degrees. Temperatures are expected to dip into the teens by late Monday night.

The recreation department's Creative Play preschool classes are closed until Tuesday. Fit 4 Life classes are open on a case-by-case basis, so members are advised to call 815-886-6222 to verify before heading to a class.
