ROMEOVILLE, IL—The school year may be nearing its end for many and that means it is about that time of year to start making summer vacation plans. As such, the Romeoville Parks and Recreation Department announced that summer program registration begins May 13 for residents. “Our parks and recreation department does a phenomenal job with their programs,” Mayor John Noak said in a release. “I think you would be hard pressed to find someone who isn’t interested in something they offer.”

The parks and recreation department recently released a summer program brochure that was distributed by mail to all residents. In it, there are 60-plus pages to highlight various offerings, ranging from day camps and karate to gymnastics and fitness.

Among some of the program highlights, officials noted, are the Parents Versus Teen Nerf league, the LEGO Engineering and LEGO Robotics Academy, Art Attack and some new adult trips, including a tour of the Fox Valley Winery.
