Romeoville’s Finance Department Wins Financial Reporting Award
It is their 6th consecutive time being recognized.

The Village of Romeoville’s Finance Department has been honored with their 6th consecutive Excellence in Financial Reporting Award by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. The Certificate of Achievement was in recognition of the village’s comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) for the fiscal year ended April 30, 2019. The CAFR was judged to meet the high standards of the program, which included demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
“Our Finance Department continues to do fantastic work,” stated Mayor John Noak. “They have set a high standard for the community and they continue to meet it.”
