Romeoville Tumbleweeds Compete In First Gymnastics Meet Of Season
See who placed this past weekend at the Winter Whiteout hosted by the Fox Valley Park District in Aurora.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Romeoville Tumbleweeds, a competitive gymnastics program for girls from age 6 through high school, had its first meet of the 2018 to 2019 season this past weekend at the Winter Whiteout in the Fox Valley Park District in Aurora.
Officials said three of its gymnasts competed at level 2 in their first career meet and Julienne Tutaan took first place all around and Daniela Fajardo took third place all around.

In addition, two gymnasts competed as level 3s, with Madisyn Saddler taking second place all around and Refelyn Gratace taking first. Other notable finishes, officials said, included Kendall Battle, who placed second at level 5, Nia Crowder, who placed second at level 6, Ashley Roppolo, who placed first at level 5, Gaby Tetti, who placed first at level 6, and Maddy Sisto, who placed first at level 7.
"Our coaches, Anne, Brooke and Mae, are proud of the turnout and cannot wait to see what the rest of the season has in store," said Parks and Recreation director Kelly Rajzer in a statement. "The Romeoville Recreation Department wants to congratulate all of the gymnasts who competed and represented our great community."

The coaches said they have high expectations and are excited to see what the kids will accomplish this year, according to a press release.
"We are continuing to improve the program, becoming more and more competitive with the competition the gymnasts see and more prepared than ever to take the girls to the next level," they wrote.
