Second Joliet Man Charged In Lakewood Falls Shooting: Police

ROMEOVILLE, IL — A second Joliet man has been charged in a shooting in the Lakewood Falls subdivision a few weeks ago, Romeoville Police Department said.
Stanley Lewis Russell Jr., 20, was taken into custody Tuesday and charged with unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated discharge of a firearm, police said. Russell Jr. is the second person charged in this incident along with 23-year-old Jalyn Blackmore, of Joliet, who was arrested on Jan. 5.
Romeoville police officers and Will County deputies had responded around 12:45 p.m. to the area of Budler and Taylor roads after getting a report saying the occupants of two vehicles were shooting at each other.

The sheriff's office responded to two separate reports of homes that were hit by bullets, as well as a parked vehicle that was struck by gunfire, police said. Both homes are in the 14000 block of Lehigh Drive in Plainfield Township.
Two vehicles that were involved in the shooting fled from the scene, including a black Dodge Charger Romeoville police said was driven by Blackmore.

Apart from aggravated discharge of a firearm, Blackmore was also charged with aiding and concealing a fugitive when police said they found out he had helped another suspect evade them.
