Abri Credit Union Donates Truckload of Furniture to United Way of Will County
Abri Credit Union, headquartered in Romeoville, recently moved their Argonne National Labs branch to a much smaller space. This left Abri with a great deal of good, usable office furniture. Abri decided to donate all the furniture to United Way of Will County in the hopes that local charitable organizations could put it to good use.

Brian Cedergren, Abri CEO, said “With the amount of furniture we had, selling it was certainly discussed, but in the end, one of our core values is to give back to the community so partnering with United Way of Will County seemed like a logical choice.”
Michael Hennessy, President and CEO of United Way, arranged to have Cornerstone Services bring all the furniture in a truckload to their facility where other organizations could come and pick out what they could use. Hennessy added, “Our United Way of Will County is so grateful for Abri Credit Union’s generous donation. The office equipment our organization received and shared with our agency partners saved important funds that were used to help those in need in Will County. We area so blessed to have wonderful companies like Abri Credit Union that are willing to give back and help those most in need in our community.”
Abri Credit Union was established in 1949 and has community locations around Will and DuPage counties, branches at Argonne National Labs and Fermilab and branches in Joliet West and Central high schools.
