VVSD Begins Registration For Next School Year
The first day of school is currently scheduled for August 17, but that is subject to change due to the pandemic.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — Registration for students currently enrolled in Valley View School District for the upcoming school year can be completed online. Parents and guardians of VVSD students can anticipate receiving the back-to-school book and registration packets in the mail by mid-July, the district announced in a release Wednesday.
Mail-In registration will be available until July 24. Drop-off registration will take place from August 3-7 with dates varying by school.
Due to restrictions in place because of the COVID-19 pandemic, procedures will be in place to conduct a drop-off registration at each school’s designated time. Walk-in registration will not be available. Students who have already registered online or by mail will not be required to come in.

Many tasks completed in the traditional walk-in registration will now take place either online or after the students have resumed classes.
VVSD requires all students, regardless of grade level, to provide proof they are residents of the district before they will be allowed to register for classes. The verification process is simple if a student’s address or guardianship has not changed from the prior school year. A parent or guardian must provide one of the following documents to prove residency:
· A signed lease for the current school year with the name of the parent or guardian, landlord’s signature, and landlord’s contact phone number.
· A mortgage statement less than 30 days old or a 2019 Will County property tax bill
· A utility bill dated within the last 30 days in the name of the parent or guardian, or mail of a business nature (no more than 30 days old) that was sent to the parent or guardian at the home address.
