Weber Road Lane Reductions Still In Place For 4th Of July Weekend
Lane reductions will continue through the holiday weekend, so drivers should allow for extra time if traveling through the area.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — Lane closures on Weber Road in Romeoville will continue through the Fourth of July holiday weekend, the Illinois Department of Transportation said in a release on Thursday. IDOT said some construction zones would reopen for the weekend to minimize travel disruption, but that is not the case for the work zone on Weber Road.
IDOT said lane reductions will continue on Weber Road between 135th Street and Normantown Road.
Motorists can expect delays, and should allow extra time for trips through these areas. Drivers should pay attention to signs and changed conditions in the work zones, obey the speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and stay alert for workers and equipment, IDOT said.
