WrestleFest 8 Coming To Romeoville

Stars of the hit wrestling TV show "Lucha Underground" will be at the event.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Pro Wrestling Blitz will present WrestleFest 8 on Saturday, Aug. 12, at the Edward Hospital Athletic and Event Center, 55 Phelps Ave. They're advertising it as the "biggest WrestleFest yet," hearing "Lucha Underground" starts John Morrison, Mil Muertes and Son of Havoc.

"Since debuting in 2014, 'Lucha Underground' has taken the pro wrestling world by storm with it’s weekly TV show on the El Rey Network," according to Pro Wrestling Blitz. "Featuring unique storylines and fast paced action that lucha wrestling is known for, 'Lucha Underground' has been a breath of fresh air in the wrestling industry. Now for one night only the featured players of this hit phenomenon are coming to Romeoville for WrestleFest."

In a press release, Pro Wrestling Blitz said Morrison will be one of the event's main attractions. "Starting in the WWE, Morrison has had a hugely successful career in professional wrestling, winning the Intercontinental Championship as well as the ECW World Championship," organizers said. “The Man of 1000 Deaths” and former "Lucha Underground" champion Mil Muertes will also appear, along with fellow star Son of Havoc.

But it won't be just members of "Lucha Underground." Slated to appear are Total Nonstop Action Wrestlin Hall of Famer Gail Kim and former WWE Superstar Paul London.

Also appearing at WrestleFest 8 are Daga, Serpentico, Damian 666, Extreme Tiger, Bestia 666, JT Dunn, Laredo Kid, Angelico, Curt Stallion, Hector Garza Jr., Taya Valkyre, BLK Jeez, Kikutaro, Marty Martinez, Jack Evans, Vibora and Rey Horuz.

Tickets are available online for $35 for adults and $25 for kids.
