16-Year-Old Skokie Girl Found After Going Missing For A Week

Police said no one has seen or heard from the girl since she left her home in Skokie on Jan. 4.

UPDATE: Skokie police announced Saturday that the missing person had been located. Her name and image have been removed.

SKOKIE, IL — Police asked the public for help finding a teenage girl who went missing from her home in Skokie over the weekend.

The 16-year-old girl was last seen leaving her home on Park Avenue near Howard Street around 11 p.m. on Sunday, according to police. Her last known location was in the area of Pratt Boulevard and Sheridan Road in Chicago.

The girl was described as 5 feet, 5 inches, 145 pounds and Asian, police said. She has brown eyes and dark brown hair, the bottom half of which has faded red coloring.

Skokie police said she may be wearing white Nikes, a gray Nike sweatshirt or a black hoodie with an image of Tupac.
