Adopt Me, Mira!

This week we spotlight an exceptional pet available for adoption from a local rescue.

By Katie Bertoglio-Harris

Meet sweet, sweet Mira!  Mira is a one year old Blue Tick Coonhound/mix.  And did I mention how sweet she is?!?  In typical hound fashion, she is friendly and easy going.  Since hounds are bred to work in groups, they tend to be very social with people and other dogs.  They, of course, like to follow their noses, so Mira will need a secure yard or leash walks to be sure she doesn't have a chance to wander off.

In addition to being such a nice girl, Mira has the softest big ears!  She is looking for someone of her own to sit and pet them- she loves that!  She has a nice short coat that is fairly easy to manage, too.  And at around 45 pounds, she is a nice medium size.

Mira is vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and heartworm tested.  If you are interested in learning more about her and her Chicago Canine Rescue buddies, visit http://www.chicagocaninerescue.org.  If you are not ready for the long term commitment of adoption, consider becoming a foster home or stop by and take a dog for a walk.  It's great for them, and good for you, too!
