American Youth Symphony Orchestra - Auditions (4/18)

Calling All Young Musicians - AYSO offers a unique musical training experience for Chicagoland's best young artists

American Youth Symphony Orchestra (AYSO) is hosting Auditions for the upcoming fall season info below. AYSO is a unique opportunity for students to expand and extend their musical training and experience.

  • Audition Dates - April 18th & May 2nd
  • Audition Info – VIDEO ONLY Auditions via Google Drive – share to ayso@amimusic.org
  • Ages 7 – 18
  • Repertoire – One piece/movement – level appropriate (up to 5 min) – memorization strongly encouraged
  • Instruments: All Strings, Winds, Brass, Percussion (including piano)

“AYSO is a wonderful extension of the American Music Institute, where training and performing meet. AYSO rings true and exhibits the high standards and talent of Chicagoland’s best young artists,” said Remus Badea, AMI’s Executive Director.

AYSO seeks to empower young artists with musical knowledge and imagination, nurturing a love of music and a dedication to the highest standards of performance. By providing professional leadership and inspiration to talented young musicians, AYSO will enable them to expand their training through performances of the highest standards.

American Music Institute (AMIMusic.org) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose fundamental mission is to provide high standards of music education to all students for all instruments, levels, ages and styles of music.

All rehearsals and concerts will take place at American Music Institute’s Clarendon Hills Campus, located at 60 55th St in Clarendon Hills. Musicians can register at www.aysomusic.org and can contact AYSO at AYSO@amimusic.org or at 630-850-8505.
