Athletes Unlimited Softball Trading Cards Are Coming!
Athletes Unlimited and Topps are partnering to create the first ever pro softball trading card set based on the historic 2020 AU season.

Athletes Unlimited and the Topps Company are making history and softball cards. Topps is creating an online exclusive trading card set for the league starting today.
Athletes Unlimited debuted last weekend with a unique scoring system featuring weekly redrafting of teams. It's an unprecedented approach, but still the same beloved game on the field.
Topps has been bringing players to fans via sports trading cards for 82 years. This is the first professional softball set made by the iconic company.

The 60 card set will feature all 56 players and four “About the League” cards. There will also be a special “Championship Set” in October, which will feature the Athletes Unlimited Softball League Champion, Defensive Player of the Season and other award and highlight cards.

“Topps has always been on the forefront of sports, producing cards that represent the athletes,” said David Leiner, Topps General Manager. “Topps is thrilled to partner with Athletes Unlimited to produce trading cards that will allow millions of fans around the world the opportunity to celebrate the inaugural softball league featuring the top players in their respective sports, for the first time in our history.”

“Having a brand like The Topps Company celebrate our Athletes Unlimited softball league as their first women’s pro set is an honor,” said Jon Patricof, CEO and Co-Founder of Athletes Unlimited. “These sets will honor some of the greatest female pro athletes competing today and allow our fans the opportunity to own a piece of history.”

As a sports card collector of more than 40 years and a big fan of the league, I will gladly add this set to my collection. The next step will be to get the players to sign them!
