Chicago Bandits Remain Perfect

The Chicago Bandits are now a perfect 13-0 after their latest win, a 3 pitcher combined perfect game!

The weekend ended perfectly for the Chicago Bandits. Actually, the whole season has been perfect for the Bandits. The National Pro Fastpitch team based in Rosemont, is a perfect 13-0 on the season, after Shelby Turnier, Aleshia Ocasio and Paige Lowary combined to pitch a perfect game against the Aussie Spirit on Sunday.

The perfect season has been a team effort. Their 13 wins have been delivered by 8 pitchers, led by Coley Ries and Ally Carda with 3 wins each. Additionally, 3 pitchers (Lacey Waldrop, Carda and Turnier) each have one save.

As a team, the Bandits are hitting .393 with 23 homers, 96 runs scored and 19 stolen bases. The pitchers have a 1.38 ERA, with 79 strikeouts against 13 walks.

The Bandits are well-represented on the NPF leaderboards, too. Category leaders include Brenna Moss (16 runs, 6 stolen bases and .514 batting average) and Sammy Marshall (.575 on base percentage).

The team now embarks on a 12 game roadtrip before returning to The Ballpark at the Parkway Bank Sports Complex June 29 for a 3 game series with the USSSA Pride. The Pride, at 9-0, seem to be the major competition for the Bandits this season.
