Crash Closes Westbound Golf Road Near Old Orchard Shopping Center

SKOKIE, IL — A traffic crash blocked one direction of Golf Road near Lawler Road during Tuesday evening's commute, according to Skokie police.

Police said the three-car crash occurred at 5:03 p.m. at the intersection of Golf and Lawler. No injuries were reported, but one driver was issued a citation for following too closely.

Around 5:21 p.m., police asked drivers to avoid westbound Golf Road and find an alternative route. Shortly before 6 p.m., police reported westbound lanes had reopened.
