Crime Reports: Laptop Stolen, Windshield Smashed, Theft, DUI

Attempted Theft from Motor Vehicle

• Attempted Theft from Motor Vehicle on the 9400 block of Lincolnwood Drive, on December 8th at 8:28 a.m. Reported:  12/08/2013. A male subject wearing a dark colored hoodie was seen attempting to remove tools from a toolbox located inside the bed of a Chevy truck. The suspect then got into another vehicle and drove off Northbound.

Burglary from Motor Vehicle

• Burglary from Motor Vehicle on the 5400 block of Suffield Terrace, between December 6th at 7:00 p.m. and December 8th at 3:00 p.m.  Reported:  12/08/2013. An unknown person(s) shattered a window on a Ford and stole a GPS which was in plain view on the windshield.  The glove box was also ransacked.

Credit Card Fraud

• Credit Card Fraud on the 9200 block of Lawler between November 28th at 11:36 a.m. and December 1st at 11:36 a.m. Reported:  12/09/2013. An unknown person(s) obtained the victim’s debit card number and made numerous purchases online. 

Theft of Lost Property

• Theft of Lost Property on the 4700 block of Dempster Street, on December 9th between 5:20 and 5:30 p.m. Reported:  12/09/2013. An unknown person(s) stole the victim’s laptop that he had left at the cash station.

Theft

• Theft on the 8200 block of Elmwood Street, on December 8th between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.  Reported:  12/08/2013. An unknown person(s) stole the victim’s MBX bicycle from the condominium's indoor garage.

Arrests

• Adams, David Edward, 25, 8400 block of Drake Avenue, was arrested on charges of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol on the 3900 block of Lee Street, on 12/09/2013.

• Taylor, Margaret M., 37, 7000 block of S. Campbell Avenue, #F12, Chicago, was arrested on charges of Driving with a Suspended/Revoked Driver’s License on the 3500 block of Church Street, on 12/09/2013.

• Clanton, Johnny IV, 18, 8000 block of Knox Avenue, Unit B, was arrested on charges of Possession of Cannabis on the 8800 block of Bronx Avenue, on 12/09/2013.

• Romero, Fernando, 22, 2200 block of Emerson, Evanston, was arrested on charges of Driving on a Suspended/Revoked Driver’s License on the 4800 block of Golf Road, on 12/09/2013.
