East Prairie Instructor Wins ‘My Favorite Teacher’ Contest

An East Prairie Middle School instructor was recently awarded Barnes & Noble's "My Favorite Teacher Award."

East Prairie Middle School teacher Timothy Berlinghof won Barnes & Noble’s “My Favorite Teacher” contest recently.

Berlinghof won after his student Mary Jo Hernandez wrote an essay that described how her instructor influenced her education in a positive way. Area students submitted more than 50 entries.

Entries were judged on the compelling nature of the teacher’s qualities, the sincerity of the student’s appreciation and the quality of expression and writing.
