Panera Pickpocket

A woman was pickpocketed while dining at Panera Bakery, 9611 Skokie Blvd., on Feb. 26. The woman told police that she noticed her wallet missing after she grabbed her purse, which was hanging on the back of her chair. Several credit cards, cash and an RTA Senior Card were reported stolen, police said.

Later that day, the woman realized that $2,200 was charged onto her account at a nearby Nordstrom, DSW and Best Buy.

Grab and go at Sephora

Police responded to a theft at Sephora in Old Orchard Mall on Feb. 27. According to the report, two men entered the store and “quickly grabbed eight” perfume bottles before fleeing the business. The estimated loss was around $700, the report stated.

Pot possession

LuCretia McCoy, 35, of Evanston, was charged with possession of marijuana on Feb. 23. Police observed McCoy speeding at 50 mph heading eastbound on Dempster Street, a 35 mph zone. Police would ultimately find about 2 grams of marijuana in McCoy’s vehicle, the report stated.

McCoy was also issued citations for driving on a suspended license, speeding and operating an uninsured vehicle.

Allen D. Williams, 23, of Gurnee, was charged with possession of marijuana on Mar. 2. Allen was stopped in the 3500 block of Dempster Street for having expired license plates, the report stated. Officers would ultimately find 1.55 grams of marijuana in the driver’s possession, the report stated.

Javier Medina, 22, of Chicago, was charged with possession of marijuana on March 2. Medina was stopped near the intersection of Lee Street and Skokie Boulevard around 3:35 a.m. for a traffic violation, the report stated.

Officers ultimately found about 2.5 grams of marijuana in Medina’s possession, the report stated.
