Grand Piano Haus Earns Top Honors From Yamaha
A family run business in Skokie receives top honors at the 2013 NAMM Music Products Show in California.
Grand Piano Haus, 3640 Dempster St., has been named “Leading Edge Dealer of the Year” by the Keyboard Division of Yamaha Corporation of America, the world’s largest musical instrument manufacturer, according to a press release issued today.
The award was presented to the keyboard retailer at the 2013 NAMM Music Products Show in Anaheim, Calif., from Jan. 24 to Jan. 27. They join nine other retailers honored by Yamaha at the event.
Yamaha recognized Grand Piano Haus for their outstanding year in marketing initiatives and sales of Yamaha pianos and keyboards. Accepting the award from Yamaha Keyboard division top management were Grand Piano Haus representatives Fritz Tasch and Jeff Tasch.

“Grand Piano Haus is an amazing company. Fritz, the father, has a background in violin making. The son, Jeff, was programming Yamaha synths when he was 14-years-old and is now a respected piano technician as well,” said Bob Heller from Yamaha Corporation of America. “Their combination of old world craftsmanship combined with modern high technology is not a marketing position. GPH is able to offer a unique benefit proposition to their clients and customers.”
Grand Piano Haus first opened their doors in 2003. Last year, the dealer won the Touchstone award, a web-based contest open to all retail sales people employed by authorized Yamaha PianoDealers that tracked entrants’ sales online using a points-based system for specific piano models.
