Home's Door Pried Open In Burglary; Cash, Jewelry Stolen

The following information is from Skokie Police Department reports and the Village of Skokie. 

Criminal Damage to Property

• Criminal Damage to Property on the 8400 block of Karlov Avenue, between November 7th at 12:00 p.m. and November 8th at 8:26 a.m.  Reported:  11/08/2013.An unknown person(s) put a screw in the victim’s tire. 

Burglary

• Burglary at 4550 Oakton Street, Insolar Window Treatments, between November 7th at 6:00 p.m.  and November 8th at 8:30 a.m.  Reported:  11/08/2013. An unknown person(s) gained entry to the business by smashing out the glass on the entry door.  Computer equipment was stolen.

• Burglary on the 9100 block of Four Winds Way on November 9th between 2:00 p.m. and 9:48 p.m.  Reported:  11/09/2013. An unknown person(s) pried open the rear door to the residence and stole jewelry and cash from inside the home.

Burglary from Motor Vehicle

• Burglary from Motor Vehicle on the 5300 block of Washington Street, on November 8th between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.  Reported:  11/08/2013. An unknown person(s) stole a cell phone from an unlocked GMC while it was parked on the street.

Criminal Trespass to Residence

• Criminal Trespass to Residence on the 7700 block of Kenneth Avenue, on November 9th between 9:27 p.m. and 9:28 p.m.  Reported :  11/09/2013/ The victim reported to police that he heard an unknown person(s) enter the rear door to his home. He discovered the rear door open but no signs of force.

Theft

• Theft from the 8900 block of Bronx Avenue, on November 8th between 1:44 p.m. and 2:05 p.m.  Reported:  11/08/2013. An unknown person(s) stole a package that was delivered to the lobby area of the building.

Arrests

• Spence, Juvane B., 18, 9200 block of Gross Point Road, #205, was arrested on charges of Possession of Cannabis on the 8500 block of Skokie Boulevard, on 11/08/2013.

• Nelson, Carlton L., 38, 700 block of Greening Avenue, Calumet City, was arrested on charges of Driving with a Suspended/Revoked Driver’s License on the 4300 block of Howard Street, on 10/16/2013.

• Juvenile, 14, Skokie, was arrested on charges of Battery on the 7300 block of Niles Center Road, on 11/08/2013.

• Juvenile, 16, Evanston, was arrested on charges of Aggravated Battery and Reckless Conduct on the 7300 block of Niles Center Road, on 11/08/2013.

• Santana, Eduardo, 36, 9100 block of Lawler Avenue, basement, was arrested on charges of Driving on a Suspended/Revoked Driver’s License on the 9100 block of Crawford Avenue, on 11/08/2013.

• Solano, Adiee, 39, 1700 block of N. Linder, Chicago, was arrested on charges of Retail Theft on the 4900 block of Old Orchard Road, on 11/08/2013.

• Shavit, Dean D., 49, 4600 block of Davis Street, was arrested on charges of Criminal Trespass to Vehicle on the 4600 block of Davis on 11/08/2013.

• Steuernagel, Victoria, 37, 18600 block of Kamala, Brookfield, WI, was arrested on charges of Driving with No Valid License on the 3400 block of Church Street, on 11/08/2013.

• Martinez, Adrian Sunny, 24, 8300 block of Kilpatrick Avenue, #2E, was arrested on charges of Possession of Cannabis on the 4700 block of Washington Street, on 11/09/2013.

• Seals, Nicholas B., 34, 1500 block of Dodge #1, Evanston, was arrested on charges of Battery on the 3500 block of Main Street, on 11/09/2013.

• Bha, Shahidraza, 26, 6400 block of N. Seeley #2W, Chicago, was arrested on charges of Leaving the Scene on an Accident on the 7300 block of Niles Center Road, on 11/09/2013.

• Nation, Camichael O., 23, 1700 block of Brown Avenue, Evanston, was arrested on charges of Driving with a Suspended/Revoked Driver’s License on the 3200 block of Howard Street, on 11/09/2013.

• Juvenile, 17, Chicago, was arrested on charges of Retail Theft on the 4900 block of Old Orchard Road, on 11/09/2013.

• Mathis, Shaiking Mison, 27, 4800 block of Davis St., was arrested on charges of Theft on the 7900 block of LaCrosse Avenue, on 11/09/2013.
