Veterans Day in Skokie will be observed by Skokie American Legion Post #320. The day starts with coffee at 9:30 and a ceremony at 10:45 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 3854 at 7401 Lincoln Ave, Skokie, on Monday, Nov. 11.

Need information on affordable healthcare? We all do. Attend an information session at Bernard Horwich JCC, 3003 W. Touhy Ave., Chicago, at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

"Unique Treasures Holiday Boutique," a sale of artisan crafts, edibles, candles, handmade clothes, jewelry and decor and unique beautiful items to benefit NorthShore University Health System,takes place Wednesday at 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Oakton Community College, 7701 N.
