Mosquitoes to Emerge Due to Warm Weather, Standing Water

Summer-like temperatures combined with standing water from the April floods could bring on mosquitoes, the Lake Zurich Courier reports.

Floodwater mosquitoes are expected to appear in the area in the next few days. The newspaper reports that these bugs are especially aggressive and more of a nuisance than the regular breed of mosquitoes. Temperatures are expected to drop later this week, temporarily suppressing the mosquitoes until the weather warms up again.
