Niles North Teams Win VEX Robotics Competition

North's 333R and 333D teams were crowned Tournament Champions at the Red Raider VEX Robotics Competition on December 15.

On December 15, the Niles North Robotics team competed in the Red Raider Vex Robotics Competition at Huntley High School in Huntley, Illinois. In this year’s game, Turning Point, students drive robots they design, build, and program. Turning Point is played by stacking caps on posts by flipping caps, stacking balls on caps, toggling flags by throwing balls, and parking robots on raised platforms.

North's 333R and 333D teams were crowned the Tournament Champions. 333R also were named the Robot Skills Champions while 333D took home the Design Award. The teams qualified to compete at the Illinois State Competition on February 23, 2019 at Niles West High School. 333E were Tournament Finalists and 333Y made it to the first round of the final tournament. Niles North now has six teams qualified to compete at the Illinois State VEX Robotics Competition.
