Niles North's Take One Wins Downbeat Award

Congratulations to Take One, Niles North’s premier vocal jazz group, on winning a Downbeat Award in the category of Large Group Vocal Jazz Ensemble for High School Outstanding Performances. Only five groups received this honor this year out of the entire United States and Canada. It is a prestigious honor and confirms that the Niles North Vocal Jazz Program is one of the top vocal jazz programs in the country. The students work so hard during the year and this is a great accomplishment recognizing their work.

During the application process, the submission includes recordings from the previous year. The current Take One and the previous year’s group are both listed below. Congratulations!
