Featured Obituary:

Thomas Harvick died March 18 2021. He was born in Evanston IL June 15 1945 of the late Buck and Betty Harvick. He grew up in Chicago, attending St. Hilary School, Archbishop Quigley Preparatory Seminary, graduated Notre Dame High School, St. Mary’s College in Winona MN, and Notre Dame Law. He had a long career in the law culminating in his partnership Kominiarek Bresler Harvick and Gudmundson. He was elected President of the Society of Trial Lawyers of Illinois 1996-1997 and in 2016 was awarded the Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award of the Jury Verdict Reporter.

He is survived by his wife Libby Joyce, his two daughters from his first marriage (Mary Hamblet), Sarah McHolland (Jim) and Anne Prikos (Paul); seven grandchildren: Tyler, Grace, Ryan and Ella McHolland and Paul, Aidan and Edward Prikos.

Tom enjoyed life, that is to say sailing, horseback riding, skeet shooting, pheasant hunting, golf, his dogs, funny hats, shopping, most Chicago professional sports, his grandkids’ sports, traveling, reading (mostly history) and Scotch. He coached Glenbrook North, Evanston, and Loyola High School Hockey for 10 years. Tom was quick witted and silver tongued.
