Police Call Off Search for Young Girl Reportedly Seen on Emerson Street

Skokie police have ended their search for a young girl who was reportedly walking alone in only a white T-shirt near Crawford and Emerson around 12:30 a.m. Sept. 30.

Officers searched the area where the resident said the girl - approximately 6-8 years of age - was seen running from Crawford and Emerson to Keeler and Emerson. A caller stated when the child observed the caller watching, she hid in the bushes.

On Monday, police said they did not receive reports for any missing kids and were ending the investigation.
