Updated: Police Set to Make Statement Regarding Shooting in Skokie Today
A male subject suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen outside Old Orchard Mall on Friday around 9:45 p.m. Police are set to make an announcement regarding the incident later today.

Update - 05/21, 10:34 p.m.
No new details have come in regarding the Friday night shooting at Golf Road and Skokie Boulevard.
A press release issued on Saturday morning stated further information would be provided on Monday, May 20. However, police are still investigating the incident. The department asked that anyone with knowledge of the shooting contact them at 847-982-5900. Callers can remain anonymous.

Police are set to release further details regarding a late night Friday shooting near the intersection of Golf Road and Skokie Boulevard later today.
The male subject suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen at around 9:45 p.m. and was transported to a nearby hospital, police said.
Some area residents attended a nearby carnival at a parking lot just across the street from Niles North High School, 9800 Lawler Ave., prior to the shooting. It is unclear, however, if the victim or offender(s) attended the carnival prior to the shooting.
Police from Skokie, Lincolnwood, Morton Grove and Wilmette, as well as the Cook County Sheriff's Department were at the scene following the shooting on Friday.
