Retiring Skokie Manager Al Rigoni To Be Honored Monday
Plus, a snowman building contest, be sure to park on the even-numbered side of the street Monday, and other Skokie things to know this week.
- On Monday, Dec. 16, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., you must park your car on the side of the street with even-numbered addresses, per the village of Skokie, so snowplows can clean up. Garbage and recycling collection will take place as usual.
- The Skokie village board meets Monday at 8 p.m., with a presentation honoring longtime Village Manager Al Rigoni, who is retiring at the end of the month.
- A snowman-building contest--how fun! The Village Inn Pizzeria & Grill is calling all contestants to build Frosty on the sidewalk in front of 8052 N. Lincoln, Skokie, on Thursday. Prizes for the winners. More info here.
- Have a pancake breakfast with Santa Saturday morning at Oakton Park as the Skokie Park District holds a Breakfast with the Big Guy. You have to preregister.
