Vehicle vandalism

Police responded to a criminal damage complaint in the 8000 block of Kildare Avenue on May 9. According to the report, an unknown person scratched a parked car using a sharp object.

Following a traffic dispute in the 5000 block of Lawler Avenue, one of the drivers exited his vehicle and kicked the other person’s car, causing damage to its exterior, police said.

Retail theft

Daneil Hickman, 35, of Skokie, was charged with retail theft on May 9. Hickman was arrested after trying to steal a pair of shoes from Marshall’s, 9445 Skokie Blvd., on May 8, police said.

Drug paraphernalia

Police recovered a glass smoking pipe containing marijuana following a traffic stop in the 9600 block of Skokie Boulevard on May 9. No further information was provided.

Theft from auto

Two radios were stolen from two different vehicles parked at a car dealership in the 7600 block of Skokie Boulevard on May 8.

Stolen wallet

A man reported his wallet stolen after visiting a bar in the 5400 block of Touhy Avenue on May 8.
