School Closings Include D65, Arie Crown; Others Deciding
With Monday's forecast ranging from -20 F to -6 F, schools are deciding whether to close to keep kids safe.

All Evanston/Skokie School District 65 schools will be closed Monday, and Arie Crown Hebrew School will be closed Sunday, Jan. 5, while other local school districts are saying they are monitoring weather conditions in light of the brutally cold forecast.

With temperatures expected to climb from a low of -20 F to a high of only -6 F, students could risk frostbite or other cold-weather plagues, especially if snowy roads or equipment failures delay school buses.
Some districts plan to post on their websites Sunday night, Jan. 5, about whether school will be in session Monday. Parents are advised to check.
