Skokie Driver Who Struck, Killed 84-Year-Old Has Been Charged

He appeared in court Thursday.


On Aug. 29, an 84-year-old Skokie man was trying to cross Oakton Street southbound towards Oakton Park. He never made it. He was struck by a car and killed.

This week, Nick Sakellariou, 36, also of Skokie, turned himself in to police Wednesday for the crime, according to the Skokie Review.  He is charged with driving under the influence of drugs, and appeared in court Thursday for a bond hearing.
