Skokie Fourth of July Parade Re-Routed Due to Construction

Skokie's Fourth of July Parade route has been altered because of construction downtown, according to a village press release.

The start of the parade starts at Lincoln Avenue at Howard Street and will head south to Skokie Boulevard. Once on Skokie BOulevard the parade will head north to Oakton Street, then east on Oakton Street to Oakton Park.

Event sponsors include the Village of Skokie and the Skokie Park District.

Noon - Fourth of July parade starts at Lincoln Avenue.

5 p.m. - Family festivities at Niles West High Schoo, 5701 Oakton St.

6 p.m. - Music entertainment starts

The 2013 parade entertainment includes:
