Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Village of Skokie, Skokie Park District officials, as well as the Skokie Fourth of July Parade Committee, have reached the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 Skokie Fourth of July Parade and the 3-D fireworks festival.   With the latest surge in COVID-19 cases, state and local public health officials have advised that both large events will likely still pose a significant health risk to the residents of Skokie. Additionally, both events require a number of contracted services and permits to be secured months in advance.   The July Fourth Parade and fireworks festival have been an important celebration in Skokie for decades. With that in mind, organizers will soon begin planning events for July 4, 2022. We hope to see everyone next year.
