Skokie School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Skokie is August 24. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. Skokie School District 68 has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 8/24: First Day of School

• 9/21: No School (Rosh Hashanah)

October

• 10/2: Junior High Evening P/T Conferences
• 10/5: Elementary Evening P/T Conferences
• 10/6: No School for Students (P/T Conference Day)
• 10/9: No School (Columbus Day)

November

• 11/3: No School for Students (Institute Day)
• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/25 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King Day)
• 1/29: Junior High Evening P/T Conferences

February
