Skokie Stabbing Sends Man To Hospital; Person In Custody: Police

Criminal charges have not yet been filed in connection with Wednesday night's incident, according to police.

SKOKIE, IL — Police said a person was being held in custody Thursday morning awaiting charges in connection with a stabbing in Skokie the night before.

Officers were dispatched to a home in the 7900 block of Kildare Avenue for a report of an injured man shortly after 9 p.m., according to police.

They found a 47-year-old man suffering from laceration wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital for treatment, and detectives interviewed several people about the incident before detaining someone suspected of involvement, police said.

Skokie police said the person in custody knew the man who was found stabbed, and investigators believe Wednesday night's incident was an isolated one.
