Skokie Student Outstanding Artists Recognition Exhibition Online

The 2020 SOAR exhibit that features artwork from hundreds of Skokie school children is now available to enjoy online!

The March 18, 2020 Student Outstanding Artists Recognition (SOAR) exhibition reception, marking the Skokie Fine Arts Commission’s 20th year of hosting the exhibition for student artists, was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie would have brought together hundreds of student artists, their families, teachers and members of the Village Board and Fine Arts Commission, with a special presentation by local artist Kevin Luthardt.

Although the artwork has been taken down and returned to the schools, please enjoy these exhibition photos highlighting the artistic talents of so many Skokie students. Thanks to all of the students, their families and teachers for supporting the SOAR program since its inception in 2000. The Fine Arts Commission looks forward to celebrating the SOAR initiative in years to come.
