Springhill Suites To Go In Former Purple Hotel Location
It will be one of two hotels in the development.
Lincolnwood will be getting a SpringHill Suites by Marriott as one of the two hotels that will go into a new development at the northwest corner of Lincoln and Touhy Avenues, according to the Pioneer Press.
The site, the former home of the Purple Hotel, which had incarnations under different hotel brands but was known for its purple bricks and hosting of many North Shore weddings and events, is being developed by North Capital Group of Skokie. They are calling it The Shoppes of Lincoln Point.
North Capital has not yet announced the other hotel to become part of the mixed-use development, which will also include restaurants and retail.
