- A newly-forming group called the International Women's Peace Group invites you to meet Saturday in Skokie as it maps out its mission. 2 p.m.
- The Skokie Concert Choir presents "Award Winning Music"--songs which have won Oscar or Grammy awards--at its Winter Concert Sunday at 3 p.m. at Ezra Habonim.
- Toasted Taffy Apples and Strawberry Shortcake S'mores are on the menu Sunday as Emily Oaks Nature Center presents its Sticky Mittens Smorgasbord. You'll prepare three desserts over campfires at shelters.
- Get cozy for Storytelling Around the Campfire Friday at 7 p.m. at the Morton Grove Historical Museum, 6148 Dempster Street. (If you click on the item, it says Jan. 10, but it has been reschedule for Friday, Jan. 17.)
- Enjoy TGIF Family Night at the Prairie View Community Center, 6834 W. Dempster. Tot activities, entertainment and other organized activities. 6:30 p.m.
- Mariano's is holding a hiring fair Saturday for two stores it's opening in the area.
