Thursday Blotter: Teen Shot with BB Gun

Teen shot with BB gun

A teen reported being shot in the leg with a pellet from a BB gun in the 5000 block of Fargo Avenue on March 22.

Battery

A woman reported being struck in the face by another unknown woman in the 9100 block of Niles Center on March 25.

Theft from auto

A purse containing a wallet and two prescription bottles were reported stolen from a vehicle parked at Old Orchard Mall on March 23. The victim told police the offender busted out her window to gain entry, the report stated.

A rear spoiler to a 2013 Mercedes Benz S550 was reported stolen on March 23.

Residential burglary

Several pieces of jewelry were reported stolen from a home in the 9100 block of Skokie Boulevard on March 23. The offender(s) pried open the door to gain entry, police said.

Stolen oven

A Dutch oven, two pots, car jack and furnace were reported stolen from a homeowner’s yard in the 7900 block of Keystone Avenue on March 24. The victim told police he was cleaning out his garage and put the items on his lawn while he got a cup of coffee. When he returned, the items were missing, police said.

Theft at Macy’s

A male teen was charged with retail theft after attempting to steal a jacket from Macy’s in Old Orchard Mall on March 23.

Stolen phone

A woman reported her cell phone stolen after dinning at Noodles and Company in Old Orchard Mall on March 22. The victim told police that she left her phone inside her purse, which was hanging on the back of her chair, police said.

A man reported his cell phone stolen after visiting Central Park, 9359 Central Park, on March 23.

Graffiti

Police observed graffiti on a bus shelter in the 5000 blcok of Dempster Street on March 21.

Carl Chouinard, 39, of Skokie, and Vadim Puzam, 21, also of Skokie, were charged with possession of marijuana on March 24. The duo was arrested in the 8500 block of Skokie Boulevard, police said.

DUI

Kenny Dao, 31, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on March 24. Dao’s blood alcohol content level was .124, police said.

Maria Aquino, 32, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on March 25. Aquino had a blood alcohol content level of .152, police said.
